Abstract
Abstract

Soft-switching techniques are used for efficiency improvement by reducing voltage stress across switch. The switches get turn on and turn off at zero voltage. Thus, the switching power losses are eliminated. It is obtained by adding resonant components including inductors and capacitors. The Zero voltage switching range can be increased by adding inductance in series with the transformer. It is seen that ZVS range is gained for no load to full load conditions.

Abstract
Abstract

One of the serious problems in any wireless communication system using multi carrier modulation technique like Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is its Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). It limits the transmission power due to the limitation of dynamic range of Analog to Digital Converter and Digital to Analog Converter (ADC/DAC) and power amplifiers at the transmitter, which in turn sets the limit over maximum achievable rate. This issue is especially important for mobile terminals to sustain longer battery life time. Therefore reducing PAPR can be regarded as an important issue to realize efficient and affordable mobile communication services. In this paper we present methods for reduction of PAPR in multi- carrier OFDM through the joint use of weighting, and Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS). Afterwards, we numerically discuss the PAPR characteristics using the complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) of the PAPR. The simulation results show that the combined weighting-PTS scheme (CWPTS) has a better PAPR and BER performances than PTS.

Abstract
Abstract

Shashi Deshpande has achieved reputation as a serious writer with remarkable potential. Though she is not an affirmed feminist, she occupies a significant place among the contemporary women novelists who are concerned with the problems of women and their quest for identity. She sensitively portrays that a lot of women and their mute nature to bear suppression can be seen in her novels. For the courageous and sensitive treatment of large and significant themes, her works are regarded as outstanding contributions to Indian literature in English. Shashi Deshpande’s novels deal with the women belonging to Indian middle class, who are brought up in a traditional environment and are struggling to liberate themselves and seek their self-identity and independence. She is also the one and only contemporary writer who have given graphic details about the girl child and her psychology. Most of her women characters are able to transcend their identity crisis by analyzing their childhood and the process of their upbringing. Basically Deshpande writes about the conditioning of women and their failures in the fast changing socio-economic surroundings of India conveying the essence of the Indian socio-cultural ethos in a foreign language has not inhibited her from using English as the medium of her fiction.

Abstract
Abstract

Biometric recognition techniques are mainly used for human identification and authentication.A comprehensive approach for multi biometric recognition is designed by fusion of finger vein and sclera vein.Sclera vein and finger vein is a new parallel vein recognition method using a two-stage parallel approach for registration and matching. The proposed method can achieve dramatic processing speed improvement without compromising the recognition accuracy. The proposed approach combines finger vein approach and sclera vein approach. The frequency based approach is used to achieve the combination of both approaches which is based on identical biometric vector. Two new score-level combinations, holistic and nonlinear fusion is to be developed and investigated, then comparatively evaluate with more popular score-level fusion approaches to ascertain their effectiveness in the proposed system. The process offers a state-of-the-art advancement of multi biometrics, offering an originalviewpoint on features fusion. Consecutively, a hamming-distance-based matching algorithm deals with the combined homogenous biometric vector. Thus, the multimodal system achieves interesting results with several commonly used databases.

An Efficient Semantic Multi Keyword Search Using Snippets

Abstract
Abstract

The advent of cloud computing, data owners are motivated to outsource their complex data management systems from local sites to commercial public cloud for great flexibility and economic savings. But for protecting data privacy, sensitive data has to be encrypted before outsourcing, which obsoletes traditional data utilization based on plaintext keyword search. Thus, enabling an encrypted cloud data search service is of paramount importance. Considering the large number of data users and documents in cloud, it is crucial for the search service to allow multi-keyword query and provide result similarity ranking to meet the effective data retrieval need. Related works on searchable encryption focus on single keyword search or Boolean keyword search, and rarely differentiate the search results. I propose a basic MRSE scheme using secure inner product computation, and then significantly improve it to meet different privacy requirements in two levels of threat models.
