Authors: Shireen Rana, Bilal Ahmad Mir, S.B. Siddesh
Abstract
The present study is about ESBL producing Klebsiella pneumoniae which is diagnosed by phenotypic and genotypic methods. A total of 5055 properly collected, well labelled samples, received in the Microbiology laboratory were processed following standard protocol. Total 5055 samples, 805 (16.0%) Klebsiella pneumoniae were isolated. 226/3415 (6.64%) urine, 218/649 (33.6%) wound, 127/342 (37.1%) blood, 215/604 (35.6%) pus and 18/45(40.0%) sputum samples tested positive for Klebsiella pneumoniae. The occurrence of ESBL producers among Klebsiella pneumoniae in the current study is 293/805 (36.4%). Highly resistant drugs for Klebsiella pneumoniae ESBL isolates were Ampicillin (100%), Piperacillin (100%), Amoxycillin + clavulanic acid (66.2%). Non ESBL producing isolates were less resistant to the same antibiotics. Out of 805 isolated 285 (35.4%) and 293 (36.3%) were identified as ESBL producers by double disc synergy test and phenotypic confirmatory test respectively. Samples identified as ESBL producers were confirmed by E test. Detection of gene among these isolates, single bla gene could be detected in 59 (20.1%), two genes in 71 (24.2%) and three genes in 156 (53.2%) isolates. blaCTX-M-15 was the only gene found in 8 (4%) of the Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates tested, whereas blaSHV alone was found in 42 (14.3%) isolates. Among the combination of two bla genes, the combination of blaSHV and blaCTX-M-15 was found in 54 (18.4%) isolates. This study establishes that considerable genetic diversity and variations in the distribution of ESBL producers and their bla genes exist in the clinical isolates of K. pneumoniae across Karnataka.
A Study of Factors Affecting Customer Satisfaction towards BSNL Mobile Services in Nashik District
Authors: Nitin K. Chaudhari, Dr. Anil P. Dongre
Abstract
Indian mobile market is one of the fastest growing markets. The study focuses on the factors afecting customer satisfaction towards BSNL customers in Nashik District. The customers become satisfied when service provider realizes the needs of customers. In this study, the BSNL mobile phone subscribers in Nashik district were selected as respondents for identifying the various factors affecting customer satisfaction. A well structured questionnaire was designed and administered to collect samples across Nashik district. The sample size was 126. The results showed that signal quality, network coverage and recharge and payment facility had the larger impact on customer satisfaction.
Education, Enterprises and Development: Reflections on Malabar
Author: Dr. Vinodan Navath
Abstract
A unique model of development, cultural symbiosis and a highly politicised citizenry or electorate is three defining features of the state of Kerala1.There is an intricate connection between these aspects of Kerala’s development and the pattern of educational system that prevailed there.
A Study on the Effectiveness of Online Learning During Covid 19 Pandemic
Authors: Sebastian Jose, Aleena Thomas, Asst. Prof. Ambily Merlin Kuruvilla
Abstract
Over the past decade there is a rapid growth in most of the sectors. Many of the industries has been come up from both private and public sector offering graduate and postgraduates with certifications. One of the main motive of education institutions is to improve individual performance thereby increasing their overall performance of the institution. Educational Data Mining has been very successful in achieving and predicting those conclusions in order to improve their performance. But most of the educational institution fails to give quality education due to the lack of education information and poor ways to create efficient learning. They never utilize the new technology and techniques to improve learning and only relay on traditional education. As Covid-19 has made people to adapt into online learning in the place of traditional learning, it has been a dilemma for the educators to predict the efficiency of online learning. Learning Management System (LMS) creates same environment as the offline learning. It has some advantages and disadvantages too. Through this paper we try to predict the effectiveness of online learning through the LMS. These LMS are implemented to conduct classes on regular basis. Data Mining uses classification techniques such as J48, Random Forest, MLP, Bagging etc to conduct the analysis.
Nonisolated ZVZCS RPWM dc-dc Converter for PV Systems with MPPT
Authors: Deepa K. Suresh, Surumi Hussainar
Abstract
This paper deals with the design and simulation of a simple PV with MPPT using nonisolated ZVZCS RPWM dc-dc converter. Among different MPPT algorithms, incremental conductance method is used. The RPWM dc-dc converter used for the MPPT provide high step-up with less switching losses, also the capacitance in the auxiliary circuit is significantly reduced. The proposed system provide a simple PV system with maximum power extraction for various applications. The system is simulated using MATLAB and the prototype of the dc-dc converter is developed.
Multiple Coupled Circuit modeling of Induction Machines under Rotor Bar Fault
Authors: S. Moosavi, A. Djerdir, Y. Ait Amirat
Abstract
An accurate and simpler approach for modeling and simulating the dynamic behavior of induction machines under rotor fault is presented here. This method is based on the coupled magnetic circuit theory. The system of differential equations describing the induction machine in presence of rotor broken bar faults is given. The machine inductances are calculated by means of the magnetic energy stored in the air-gap. The proposed model allows a precise study of several machine faults signature in various machine main quantities. Finally, some simulation results illustrate the proposed global in the case of broken rotor bars fault.
Inventory Management: A Case Study In Ultratech Cement
Authors: T. Karnakar, K. Neeraja
Abstract
Stock or stock is the merchandise and materials that a business holds for a definitive objectives to have a motivation behind resale (or repair).Inventory administration is a teach principally about indicating the shape and situation of loaded products. It is required at various areas inside an office or inside numerous areas of a supply system to go before the standard and arranged course of creation and load of materials. Stock constitutes the hugest piece of current resources of bigger greater part of Indian glass fabricating enterprises. The primary destinations to know the money related execution on stock administration. The examination utilized Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model and chi-square technique. Thus, proposals on the correct amount, quality and timing of material and no more good cost finish up the examination consider.
Effective Utilization of Road Space on the Selected Road Links of Ahmedabad City
Authors: Utsav Prajapati, Vijay J. Chitaria
Abstract
Ahmedabad is metropolis rapid growing city of Gujarat, in many regions of Ahmedabad multi lanes road serves different purposes like vehicular traffic, pedestrians, bicycles, public transit system etc. But with uneven or non-uniform distribution of space for each activities. So, there will be a need to allocate most appropriate and sufficient space with proper utilization of road space. In this research, the main aim of the study is effective utilization of road space throughout day without any undesirable congestion. Also suitable space allocation and designing to attain economy in capital cost as well as maintenance and operations cost of road user. This research affords to study the level of utilization of spaces allocated in urban roads of study area for different purposes and collect the information’s regarding traffic volume count, speed-delay studies, pedestrian traffic survey, LOS of the existing condition. Traffic data collected on a section of a six- lane divided roadway (one-way movement only) are used to develop the speed-flow curve. It is observed that capacity is 1791 PCU/hour and 1924 PCU/hour for IIM mid-block and at Shivranjani mid-block observed capacity is 2194 PCU/hour and 2060 PCU/hour respectively. The observed capacity compared with capacity suggested by INDO-HCM 2017. At IIM mid-block the observed capacity is nearly 57.35% and 54.19% lower than the capacity suggested by INDO-HCM 2017. At Shivranjani mid-block the capacity suggested by INDO-HCM 2017 is nearly 2.28% and 5.67% higher than the observed capacity.
