Classification Of Mobile Applications With Rich Information
Authors: Senthil Kumar .B, Ravi .R
Abstract
Mobile Application activates an important role in the daily lives of mobile users. Intuitively, the study of the use of mobile Apps can help to understand the user favorites, such as App recommendation, user segmentation and target advertising. The major challenge is that there are not many effective and explicit features available for classification models due to the limited contextual information of Apps available for the analysis. From the CDMA to recent mobile applications more user activities have improved. Still now all mobile app have limited contextual information in their names, and the only available explicit features of mobile Apps are the semantic words contained in their names and proposing enriched contextual information of mobile Apps by exploiting the additional Web knowledge from the Web search engine. Then, inspired by the observation that different types of mobile Apps may be relevant to different real-world contexts, also extract some contextual features for mobile Apps from the context- rich device logs of mobile users. By collecting details about the user side information regarding the app usage to categorizing the mobile application on own. Specifically natural language processing has been driven for the classification work. Finally combining all the enriched contextual information into the classified framework model for training the mobile App classifier.
Camera Based Text Detector for Visually Impaired

Abstract
The popularity of digital image and video is increasing rapidly. With Recent developments in computer vision, digital cameras, portable computers and wearable devices we are able to assist Visually Impaired individuals by developing camera based products that combine computer vision technology with other commercial products to help them read small text labels on hand held object in daily life or detect currency he is holding or different colours. To isolate the object of interest from backgrounds or other surrounding objects in the camera view a motion based method to define a region of interest (ROI) in the video by asking the user to shake the object. Thus we can extract the hand held object that he is holding. In the extracted ROI, text localization and recognition are conducted to acquire text information. To automatically localize the text regions from the object ROI, text localization algorithm is uses by using gradient features of stroke orientations and distributions of edge pixels . Text characters in the localized text regions are then binarized and recognized using optical character recognition. The recognized text codes are output to blind users in speech.

Abstract
Herbs are natural remedies for the disease with higher safety profile and efficacy . India is gifted with varieties of large number of medicinal herbs because of variety of climatic conditions and seasons favorable for growth of many species of plants. Amongst the large number of herbal drugs existing in India, very few have been studied systematically so far. Tridax procumbens (L) is a highly valuable drug and is one of the essential ingredients in the most of the compound preparations included in Ayurvedic literature. It is well known for number of pharmacological activities like hepatoprotective activity, anti-inflammatory, wound healing, Antidibetic activity, hypotensive effect, immunomodulating property, bronchial catarrh, dysentery, diarrhea and to prevent falling of hair, promotes the growth of hair, and antimicrobial activity against both gram-positive and gram- negative bacteria. The leaf juice shows antiseptic, insecticidal and parasiticidal properties, against conjunctivitis and is used also to check hemorrhage from cuts, bruises and wounds insect repellent. It is also used as bioadsorbent for chromium. Here we try to make attempt for focusing on antimicrobial activity of Tridax procumbens flowers. Their antibacterial activities were evaluated in vitro against clinical bacterial isolates. In effort to identify novel bacterial agents, this study was initiated to evaluate the antimicrobial properties of Tridax procumbens flowers extract against E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus by using disc-diffusion assay. The flower plant extracts demonstrated good antimicrobial activity against these bacteria tested with inhibition zones. The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) values of extract against the tested bacteria were found to 67.3 mg/ml and 48.20 against E.coli and Staphylococcus aureus respectively. The methanolic extract of flowers exhibited a pronounced activity against E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The minimum inhibitory concentration was found in methanolic Extracts of Tridax procumbens against test organisms.
Preliminary Phytochemical and Antioxidant Study of Odina woodier Leaf Extract
Authors: Valli G, Jeyalakshmi M
Abstract
Our present study deals with the finding of the phytochemical constituents present in Odina woodier leaf extracts. It was performed by generally accepted laboratory technique for qualitative determination. It was observed that alkaloids, flavanoids, tannins, steroids were present more in ethanol and methanol extract and were present in lesser amount in ethyl acetate extract. Other constituents like carbohydrate, phenolic compounds, proteins etc., were found to be absent in all the extracts. In-vitro anti oxidant study of DPPH radical scavenging at different concentration (25- 200µg/ml) in methanol and ethyl acetate extract of Odina woodier leaf were measured. The radical scavenging effect was found to increase with increasing concentrations. The methanol extract showed the maximum activity of 96% at a concentration of 200µg/ml. The ethyl acetate extract showed the activity of 46% at a concentration of 200µg/ml.
