Colour And Dyes Removal Of Textile Effluent Using Low Cost Biomaterials
Authors: Sahla C, Anitha K
Abstract
Textile industry is one of the most important and rapidly developing industrial sectors. The characteristics of Textile effluent are generally high because of use of many chemical substances in textile processing. There have been various promising techniques for the removal of dyes from wastewater. However, the effectiveness of adsorption for dye removal from wastewater has made it an ideal alternative to other expensive treatment methods. Almond shell and Rice Husk Ash (RHA) and saw dust were used as adsorbents for dye removal. There adsorption capacity was evaluated for the decolourisation of wastewater containing methylene blue and methyl orange. The effect of system variables such as contact time and adsorbent dose were investigated. Among all these methods adsorption is still a procedure of choice for colour removal. This paper shows an experimental study of the combination of all materials
Beyond text QA Multimedia Diverse Relevance Ranking based Answer Generation by Harvesting Web

Abstract
Community QA (cQA) has emerged as an extremely popular alternative to acquire information online, owning to the following facts. cQA forums usually provide only textual answers, which are not informative enough for many questions. To overcome these problems previous studies proposed three steps: First, information seekers are able to post their specific questions on any topic and obtain answers provided by other participants. Second ,comparison with automated QA systems. Third, over times, a tremendous number of QA pairs have been accumulated in their repositories. But the major problem is the lack of diversity of the generated media data. The adopted a method to remove duplicates, but in many cases more diverse results may be better. In our proposed work, we will further improve the scheme investigate Multimedia search diversification methods to make the enriched media data more diverse. Proposed diverse relevance ranking scheme is able to take relevance and diversity into account by exploring the content of images and their associated tags. First, it estimates the relevance scores of images with respect to the query term based on both the visual information of images and the semantic information of associated tags. Then, estimate the semantic similarities of images based on their tags. Based on the relevance scores and the similarities, the ranking list is generated by a greedy ordering algorithm which optimizes average diverse precision, a novel measure that is extended from the conventional average precision.
Application of Static Synchronous Series Compensator(SSSC) for Stability Enhancement of a Multimachine Power System

Abstract
Power systems are always associated with a large number of disturbances which affect the system stability and distorts the current and voltage profiles. The active power transfer in the system is heavily affected by faults which occur in the transmission systems. Maintaining the voltage profile during the fault and attaining stability of the system after a major disturbance is a challenge faced by power system engineers of all times. FACTS devices play a prominent role in modern power systems as these are the best options for increasing transmission capacity of lines while maintaining system stability. In this work, a series FACTS device, static synchronous series compensator (SSSC) is used to improve voltage profile of a system during a major three phase fault. A suitable controller is designed for the system and the operation of the device is tested in a two machine system. Also an algorithm based on PSO is applied to the SSSC power oscillation damping controller for fast damping of the oscillations. The MATLAB/SIMULINKmodeling of the system is done and the simulation results are obtained.
A Dual Input Buck Converter With One Cycle Control For Efficient Utilization Of Solar Power
Authors: Krishnapriya, Sakker Hussain C K
Abstract
Renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic (PV) solar energy and wind energy rely heavily on the climate and weather conditions. As a consequence, the available power is intermittent and stochastic. So, multiple renewable energy sources that are mutually complementary could be combined to maintain continuous power delivery to the load. Such a system is referred to as a hybrid power system. In hybrid power systems, the use of a MIC instead of several single-input converters has a simpler circuit and lower cost. However, the MIC is a typical multiple-input multiple-output coupling system and has many operating modes under the power management strategy, so the closed-loop design is complicated. This work proposed and evaluated a new power circuit that can deal with the problem of the intermittent nature and slow response of the renewable energy. The proposed circuit integrates different renewable energy sources with energy storage devices .This paper explains an one cycle control method for MIC which is simpler compared to other control methods. The working of OCC is explained in details. It is seen that with OCC, no current regulator is required, and the design conditions of the output voltage regulator in different operating modes are the same. Thus, control design is simple.
A Data Mining Approach for Secure Chat In IM
Authors: Prajeesh C B, Afsar P
Abstract
Individuals and organizations alike depend on cyberspace. From the casual consumer using social media, to online merchants growing their business, to physicians supporting their patients every sector of our society is increasingly dependent upon technology and networked systems. Without sufficient awareness of the risks in cyberspace, however, Behavioural decisions and unseen threats can negatively impact the security of the global cyberspace infrastructure and can cause physical damage in the real world. On an individual level, what is at stake is the vulnerability of each individual user in cyberspace. An individual who is not aware of, and does not implement, basic cyber security practices faces greater personal risk on and online, such as identity theft, when engaging in daily online tasks. Through the Secure Chat System, it will counter these risks and help make the cyberspace, especially Instant Messenger (IM) more secure. Secure Chat can prepare the general public to identify and avoid risks in instant messenger.
