Abstract
Abstract

2D barcodes have enjoyed a significant penetration rate in mobile applications. This is largely due to the extremely low barrier to adoption-almost every camera-enabled smartphone can scan 2D barcodes. As an alternative to NFC technology, 2D barcodes have been increasingly used for security-sensitive mobile applications including mobile payments and personal identification. However, the security of barcode-based communication in mobile applications has not been systematically studied. Due to the visual nature, 2D barcodes are subject to eavesdropping when they are displayed on the smartphone screens. On the other hand, the fundamental design principles of 2D barcodes make it difficult to add security features. In this paper, we propose SBVLC-a secure system for barcode-based visible light communication (VLC) between smartphones. We formally analyze the security of SBVLC based on geometric models and propose physical security enhancement mechanisms for barcode communication by manipulating screen view angles and leveraging user-induced motions. We then develop three secure data exchange schemes that encode information in barcode streams. These schemes are useful in many security-sensitive mobile applications including private information sharing, secure device pairing, and contactless payment. SBVLC is evaluated through extensive experiments on both Android and iOS smartphones.

Abstract
Abstract

This Project presents a women safety device with GPS tracking and alerts using ARDUINO. The system can be interconnected with the alarm system and alert the neighbors. This detection and messaging system is composed of a GPS receiver, ARDUINO and a GSM Modem. GPS Receiver gets the location information from satellites in the form of latitude and longitude. The ARDUINO processes this information and this processed information is sent to the user using GSM modem A GSM modem is interfaced to the ARDUINO. The GSM modem sends an SMS to the predefined mobile number. When a woman is in danger and in need of self- defense then she can press the switch which is allotted to her. By pressing the switch, the entire system will be activated then immediately a sms will be sent to concern the person with location using GSM and GPS.

Abstract
Abstract

The widespread online misinformation could cause public frenzy and genuine monetary harms. The misinformation containment issue aims at limiting the spread of misinformation in online interpersonal organizations by dispatching contending efforts. Roused by sensible situations, we present an investigation of the misinformation containment issue for the situation when a self- assertive number of falls are permitted. This paper makes four commitments. In the first place, we give a formal model for multi-course dissemination and present an important idea called as course need. Second, we show that the misinformation containment issue can't be approximated. Third, we present a few kinds of course need that are as often as possible found in genuine informal communities. At long last, we plan novel calculations for tackling the misinformation containment issue. The viability of the proposed calculation is upheld by empowering experimental outcomes.

Abstract
Abstract

In the present work, we compute electronic and spectroscopy properties of 5-(4-butylcyclohexyl)-2- (2-flouro-4-methoxyphenyl) pyridine and 5-(4-butylcyclohexyl)-2-(3-flouro-4-methoxyphenyl) pyridine liquid crystal molecules by using the DFT method with 6-31G(d,p) basis set. The 5-(4- butylcyclohexyl)-2-(2-flouro-4-methoxyphenyl) pyridine and 5-(4-butylcyclohexyl)-2-(3-flouro-4- methoxyphenyl) pyridine liquid crystal molecules have been optimized computationally and the spectroscopic properties and electronic properties like IR, Raman activity, dipole moment, total energy, HOMO-LUMO, ionization potential, electron affinity, electronegativity, chemical hardness and electrophilicity index. These parameters are used to predict reactivity and stability of the molecules.
