Abstract
Abstract

Masonry Infills (MI) can induce changes in the dynamic characteristics of RC frames due to its features and connection. In static analysis, the MI are treated as non-structural elements and only the contribution of its mass is considered whereas its structural parameters like strength and stiffness are generally ignored in practice, which leads to an unrealistic design. In this study, contribution of different configurations of partially infilled RC Frames with varying percentage of openings are analyzed. FE Analysis is carried out on partially infilled 2D RC Frames using micro modelling methods namely Gap Element and Link element. Natural frequency obtained from Shake Table tests are considered for validation of modal analysis results. Further the effect of openings provided at centre in partially infilled frames are studiedby varying the size of opening from 0% to 90%. Modal analysis is carried out on these models to obtain natural frequencies followed by Equivalent static and Response spectrum analyses for all the seismic zones as per IS 1893:(Part 1)-2016 to obtain base shear, displacements and storey drifts.

Abstract
Abstract

The anti-ulcer activity of aqueous extract of Aegle marmelos leaves was investigated on a indomethacin induced ulcer models in wistar rats. In model the common parameter determined was ulcer-index. aqueous extract of dosage 175, 350 mg/kg p.o produced significant inhibition of gastric lesions induced by indomethacin induced ulcers. The extract 175mg/kg & 350mg/kg showed significant (p<0.01) reduction in gastric volume, free acidity and ulcer index as compared to control. This present study indicate that Aegle marmelos leaves extract have potential anti ulcer activity. This results may further suggests that aqueous extract was found to posses antiulcerogenic as well as ulcer healing property, which might be anti secretary activity.

Abstract
Abstract

The aim of the research work was to systematically device a model of factors that would yeild an optimized sustained release dosage form of diclofenac sodium with tamarind seed kernel powder (TSP) using response surface methodology by empoying a 32 full factorial design. Independent variables studied were concentration of the matrixing agent (X1) and type of diluents (lactose, starch and MCC) (X2). The independent variables were percentage drug release at 3h (Q3), 6h (Q6) and zero order rate constant (K0). Matrix tablets were prepared by wet granulation method and evaluated for hardness, friability, weight variation, tensile strength, drug content and in vitro drug release. Polynomial equations and response surface plots were generated for all dependent variables. It was observed that all the factors had significant contribution on all dependent variables. Study indicated that increase in amount of the gum in the tablets resulted in a reduction in the release rate. The experimental design facilitated the formulation and optimization of sustained release TSP matrix systems of diclofenac sodium.

Abstract
Abstract

The demand of renewable energy (alternative energy sources) is increasing day by day as our non-renewable sources have started depleting. The other reason for increased demand is that it has a cleaner, easy setup and has a very low cost of maintenance during its operation. Due to which, solar powered equipment’s and appliances are making its way into various sectors of our day to day life. This research paper deals with the scenario that a storage or battery is needed in order to harness the solar energy when the sunlight is available and supply it in vice versa conditions. For this, a cost effective system is built which charges a battery with the help of solar panel and protection is given to the battery in case of overcharge, deep discharge and under voltage condition. The block diagram, circuit diagram, hardware design is discussed in this project.

Abstract
Abstract

The major aim of the present research is to build up technique in agriculture automation to take over, in the present scenario and deliver to its full potential. This system is designed by using arduino microcontroller, to overcome limitations of agriculture farming to supply water to plants by furrow and sprinkler methods with the available water tables. In this study an UNO Arduino microcontroller is used, which receives the input signal of the changing moisture state of the soil through the moisture sensors. On receiving the signal by the microcontroller, an output is generated for driving the relay to operate the water pump, simultaneously indicating the moisture content of the soil of the field, on mobile or laptop through Bluetooth. A buzzer is also interfaced with controller to warn, when the moisture content goes below the minimum limit and when it goes above the maximum limit. The observations of moisture content are taken for three crops, Mustard, Wheat and Rice and the field is irrigated by Furrow and sprinkler methods. The outcome of the present study indicates that Desired Moisture Content (DMC) of 23.03%, 20.22% and 30.05% for Mustard, Wheat and Rice crops is achieved with smart irrigation system using furrow and sprinkler methods. This smart irrigation system developed in the research is found to function with an overall accuracy of 98 %.
