Review of IoT Cyber Security in Network Intrusion Detection
Authors: Alfia Khan, Anil Kumar Sharma
Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) has been rapidly evolving towards making a greater impact on everyday life to large industrial systems. Unfortunately, this has attracted the attention of cybercriminals who made IoT a target of malicious activities, opening the door to a possible attack on the end nodes. To this end, Numerous IoT intrusion detection Systems (IDS) have been proposed in the literature to tackle attacks on the IoT ecosystem, which can be broadly classified based on detection technique, validation strategy, and deployment strategy. This survey paper presents a comprehensive review of contemporary IoT IDS and an overview of techniques, deployment Strategy, validation strategy and datasets that are commonly applied for building IDS.

Abstract
Evaluation of antimotility activity was done in intestine of mice treated with methanolic extract of Alpinia conchigera Griff (MEAC).Charcoal was used as a promotility agent. The antimotility activity with the mean defecation period 297.4 and 371.2 min at the dose of 250 and 500mg/kg body weight.
Mitigation of fault current in DVR with SMES
Authors: Jyothi Zachariah, Jo Joy
Abstract
Now a days power grid has been experiencing several disturbances in electric power generation, transmission, and distribution. Changing electric load and higher power transfer in a wide interconnected network leads to serious, security lack in power system operation. As energy storage appears to be beneficial to utilities since it can co- ordinate the instantaneous balance between demand and supply. Today, there is a demand for short term energy storage devices like flywheel energy storage, photovoltaic modules, battery energy storage and super capacitors. Since they are having less power and energy rating, they cannot be used for high power applications. So in order to minimize this problem, SMES has been used to improve power system performance as well as power quality as it has having high power rating with maximum efficiency. Super conducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) based dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is introduced to protect consumers from the grid voltage fluctuations. In normal DVR based compensation, downstream fault current was not considered or the DVR was bypassed during that fault. But here along with voltage sag compensation, downstream fault current mitigation was also considered. Using MATLAB, the SMES based DVR is modelled, and the simulation tests are carried out to evaluate the system performance.
Evaluation of Anti-Arthritic Activity of Ethanolic Extract of Pisonia Grandis R.Br
Authors: Elumalai A, Prakash Yoganandam G
Abstract
The present study was carried out to evaluate the anti-arthritic activity of ethanolic of extract Pisonia grandis R.Br leaf (EPGL) in adjuvant induced arthritis in rats. Loss in body weight during arthritis condition was corrected on treatment with EPGL and standard drug, indomethacin. Biochemical parameters such as hemoglobin content, total WBC, RBC, erythrocyte sedimentation rate were also estimated. The ethanolic extract at the dose of 300 mg/kg body weight inhibited the rat paw edema by 68.32% which is comparable with standard drug indomethacin 75.87% inhibition of rat paw edema after 21 days. The results of the current investigation concluded that EPGL possess a significant anti- arthritic activity against freund's adjuvant induced arthritis and justifying its therapeutic role in arthritic condition. The observed antiarthritic activity may be due to the presence of phytoconstituents such as alkaloids, phenolic compounds and flavonoids.
