A Comparative Study Of The Structural And Optical Properties Of Nio Nanoparticles Doped With Cerium And Samarium
Author: Swati R. Gawali
Abstract
In the present work, nickel oxide nanoparticles, Ce doped nickel oxide nanoparticles and Sm doped nickel oxide nanoparticles are synthesized using the simple sol gel technique. The influence of doping of Ce and Sm (1.00 atomic %) on the crystalline structure and optical properties of NiO nanoparticles was investigated. The samples were characterized for structure, phase and morphology by XRD, EDAX and SEM techniques. The XRD patterns confirmed the formation of face centered cubic structure for undoped NiO nanoparticles, Ce doped NiO (CNO) nanoparticles and Sm doped NiO (SNO) nanoparticles. The average crystalline size of the as prepared samples were calculated and reported as were 27 nm for undoped NiO nanoparticles, 35 nm for CNO nanoparticles and 33 nm for SNO nanoparticles. The Hall- Williamson analysis is used to estimate the average crystalline size and lattice strain induced due to the substitution of cerium and samarium in the prepared sample. The SEM images reveal spherical morphology with the formation of mono- sized particles. The optical properties were compared by measuring the band-gap energy with UV–visible spectroscopy technique. The band gap of CNO nanoparticles (3.5 eV) was found to be lower than that of the undoped NiO nanoparticles (3.61 eV) whereas for SNO nanoparticles (3.77 eV) it was found to be more than that of the undoped NiO nanoparticles (3.61 eV).

Abstract
Vapour adsorption refrigeration works on the principle of adsorption and Desorption. Adsorption and Desorption are surface phenomenon. Generally, adsorbate is adsorbed on the surface of Adsorbent, this process can be reverted by applying heat to the adsorbent. There are many adsorbate such as Methanol, Water, Ammonia and adsorbent such as activated carbon, activated carbon fiber, Silica-gel, Zeolite. The pair of adsorbent and adsorbate is called working pair. Different kind of working pair gives different results. Literature review suggests that around 0.25 to 0.5 coefficient of performance(COP) can be achieved. It has relatively low COP but it has advantage that it runs on low grade energy such as heat waste, solar energy, etc. This article include working cycle, design of components and calculation of Vapour Adsorption Refrigeration cycle.

The primary stakeholderinfluencing corporate governanceis the Board of Directors. The roles and responsibilities of the board influence the quality of financial reporting. Financial Reporting Quality (FRQ) is ensured by the Board of Directors, which also refers to the degree to which a financial statement provides adequate and authentic information about the company's financial position and performance. Hence, the study investigated the impact of the Board of directors on financial reporting quality in Jordanian Insurance Companies. The qualitative characteristics considered for the study were awareness and roles and responsibilities of the Board. The empirical evidence was obtained using the regression technique and a one- sample test based on a data sample of 19 Jordanian insurance companies. The study found that the awareness of the Board influences improving the quality of financial reporting
